We’ve been so focused on the fact that it has no caffeine that we haven’t mentioned the fact that it’s a delicious coffee in the first place. An explosion of chocolate with marzipan transitioning into orange jam, it’s a complex coffee with deep flavor! Well, and we remind you, because while drinking you’re bound to forget – it’s DECAF. And if you ever happened to wonder how caffeine is “taken out” of coffee, it is from this one:

Sugarcane – one of the most delicate ways of decaffeination, at the same time fast, ecological, and great at preserving the taste of coffee. First, the bean is moistened to increase its volume and susceptibility to the solvent. Then the bean is washed with ethyl acetate – a natural solvent found in fruits and vegetables. It is also extracted from sugar cane, hence the method’s name. The ethyl acetate combines with the chlorogenic acids in the caffeine and leaches it from the bean. Beans are then dried until the original moisture content is achieved. This method is considered one of the more gentle, environmentally friendly, and best preserving the flavor of coffee.

Always make the maximum amount of coffee for which it is designed in the coffee maker. Pour boiling water into the lower tank, always up to the valve level. End the brewing process as soon as the coffee no longer flows into the upper tank.
