Speciality Single Origin

Peru La Lucuma

16.00

Naturally, this is an uncommon affair.

Natural processing with Peru beans is not some daily bread available on every corner, so when ordering samples I tried these coffees with great curiosity!

The one we liked the most was the lot of Mr. Marcelino Chinguela. A classic coffee, but with a very juicy, fruity jam. A very complex flavor. Don Marcelino Chinguel knows his stuff – he’s been growing coffee most of his life and is still willing to experiment, and this lot proves it.

This is the first lot of the marshell variety that Marcelino planted. The family farm, La Lucuma, employs only eight pickers during harvest. Each family member has specific areas of responsibility: Marcelino handles administration and sales, his wife manages post-harvest protocols, Franklin, the eldest son, is in charge of the harvest, and the youngest son, Yocner, is the quality control manager. I’m high-fiving San Ignacio from Warsaw and thank you so much for the coffee!
