Tangerines for Christmas?
Let’s say it’s Christmas Coffee No. 2 – or even more.
Poppy seeds cake flavor has already been in our latest coffee, now tangerines, but way different because it’s fake fermentation.
We’ve made it to make it clear – if Christmas doesn’t smell like tangerines to you, there’s still a rescue – coffee from Felipe Arcia!
Straight from the Gardens of Eden – Jardines Del Eden arrives THE MOST CHRISTMAS FAKE FERMENTATION beans from the Arcila family have been a delight for us this year.
What’s more, the fruit madness from Felipe’s parents has made us even more hungry for coffee adventures. 89+ Q-Score is not a joke! Felipe first wet-processed the coffee, and then he added dried tangerine peels to anaerobic fermentation for 48 hours. It is in this part that there are the most essential oils that are responsible for the aroma – and it is mainly from them that the Christmas smell comes from, which stays in the whole house after peeling tangerines. Thanks to this, the flavor entered strongly, but did not dominate too much – we still have a lot of clean, tea and floral notes, spiced with mandarin so nice!
During the cupping, we came to the conclusion that this is actually the most balanced coffee from the Fake Fermentation series – there is no turbo-fruity flavor here, but rather a refined, multidimensional composition – also if you are looking for a last-minute gift, this may be a hit.
