The Last Explosion (of Taste)
The fourth of the Bombe coffees that closes the Bombe Series.
Ethiopia Bombe in the red honey processing has something from each of the others, it’s a beautiful mix of what they have to offer – a lot of tea notes with a solid body and turned-up sweetness – a bit classic, a bit thicker.
We have never been disappointed with it, every year we order one coffee from the Bombe mountain range, and this year we took 4. And this is one of them – not the usual because we like changes.
Typically, the area’s representative was a classic washed Ethiopia (although with additional dry fermentation), here we have red honey processing, which adds sweetness to the Ethiopian classic. The peaches that we usually have at Bombe taste like peach ice tea here, but sweeter. Brown sugar turns to caramel, and bergamot reminiscent of earl gray appears in the profile.
Bombe does not disappoint, we love such coffee!
