Costa Rica Volcan Azul

A regular guest.

Driven by a passion for excellence.

It’s become an annual tradition. I’m genuinely hyped about this farm and make a point of welcoming it back into our space every year. You’ll find coffees from Volcan Azul in some of the coolest roasteries around the world – so if the flavor checks out, why not invite it in? We welcome it with open arms. The story of the Castro Kahle family’s coffee began in the mid-19th century, when their ancestors shared one common dream: to create the best coffee in the world. Today, Alejo Castro Kahle, a seventh-generation producer, carries that legacy forward with the same passion for excellence, top quality, and innovation.

By purchasing and protecting natural rainforest areas, the family actively works to reduce air pollution and fight global warming, promoting environmental awareness they hope to pass on to future generations. Alejo’s dedication and mastery of coffee processing are reflected in the many awards he has earned over the years. Enjoy.
