Your summer bestie
She’s great, she’s reliable, she’ll never let you down but still can surprise you. This Kenya has everything we love in beans from this region, and it’s so good!
This coffee comes from young plantations in the northeastern part of the Kirinyaga region, near the village of Ngariama, a region famous primarily for tea but is increasingly appreciated for the exceptional quality of its coffee. Fertile, volcanic soils and an absence of intensive agriculture give the coffee from this location a particularly pure and rich profile. The station is managed by the New Ngariama cooperative, also known for Kamwangi and Kainamui.
This year hasn’t been easy for Kenyan producers. Changes in regulations have slowed exports and hindered direct cooperation between the cooperative and importers. But despite everything, we managed to obtain something truly unique. Exceptional quality, but with a classic taste for a Kenyan coffee: lots of currants, strawberries, and raspberries. Recommended for drinking hot and for brewing over ice cubes!
