A little bit of sun in every sip!
A pile of currants, cherries, strawberries, and chilling in the sun – we can’t arrange it, but these beans can. The answer to the long gray winter is washed Kenya – you’re welcome!
This coffee comes from a cooperative that was founded in 1953 and currently has around 3,507 members. Each farmer has about a hectare of land to grow coffee, usually along with vegetables for the family. The area has rich and fertile red volcanic soil, is situated between 1,700 and 1,900 meters above sea level, and receives between 1,600 and 1,900 mm of rainfall annually. Coffee is harvested and sorted by hand, subjected to the classic washed process.
