Does coffee have anything to do with bananas? Let’s think about it… Is it about the tasting profile of Ethiopia Dari Hambella? Not quite, though – the fact – the brewed coffee has a high body and is very sweet. However, we do not really put bananas among the tasting notes of our coffees. The truth is that bananas in the Guji region of Ethiopia protect coffee trees against the wind and large animals that could eat or destroy crops. The lands in the Guji area are rich in mineral salts – volcanic soil with a characteristic brown-red top layer. Great care for the green coffee beans, region of origin – and finally, our coffee passion and constant striving to achieve precise and repeatable results make the cup a pure sweetness, similar to honey, with a light acidity reminding of grandma’s raspberry syrup and vanilla aroma.
